Design Engineer System .
As a Design Engineer Systems you work within the System Engineering unit on mechanical systems. Here you strive for the optimal balance between technical specifications and the production cost of your design. Ideally, you will be able to perform analytical stress calculations followed by assessment of fatigue strength or static strength.
The Role:
You will be responsible for the development of mechanical systems and coordinate internal and external processes to review design requirements such as manufacturability and optimization. In addition, you are responsible for design validation, using tools such as FMEA and Hazard Analysis. You review and implement relevant design standards and design verifications.
You perform both analytical and numerical static or dynamic calculations to determine loads and movements within a system. In addition, you perform kinematic calculations using software developed in-house. Furthermore, you coordinate and supervise external agencies in design and analysis work. From concept design onwards, you are part of a multidisciplinary project team, where monitoring interfaces is essential. You will work closely with the Control System Engineer and the Electrical Engineer.
What you need:
- A bachelor’s/master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience
- Expertise in modern machine construction methods, manufacturing techniques, and material selection.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose problems and solve them
