We are looking for a "Mechatronic System Architect"

The role: As a Senior Mechatronic System Architect, you will oversee highly complex projects from initial concept to completion. You’ll collaborate with clients to transform their requirements into functional architectures, concepts, and designs. Technically leading cross-functional teams, you will guide them through the development lifecycle to ensure the successful integration of systems into larger machines and factories. With a focus on highly dynamic, high-precision systems, you’ll have the autonomy to manage your work and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and quality.

What are you going to do, but not limited to:
  • Lead multidisciplinary development teams of 20-40 skilled professionals (MSc, PhD levels) to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Design system topologies, architectures, and concepts, breaking them down into actionable work items for various departments.
  • Collaborate with project managers to align technical efforts with overall project timelines.
  • Coach and mentor engineers and sub-architects to enhance team effectiveness and knowledge.
  • Work with group leaders to improve engineering quality and grow talent within the teams.
  • Contribute to strategic technology road mapping and innovation efforts alongside senior leadership.
 
What do you bring to the table:
  • MSc or PhD in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within a high-tech industry.
  • Hands-on experience with software, firmware, assembly, and testing of complex machines.
  • Proven track record in the design and realization of mechatronic systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, results-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with a proactive, leadership-focused mindset.
